Native American Navajo Flatbread

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Plain Flour
  • 1 Cup Water (warm)
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 1tbsp Oil
  • Mix all the dry ingredients together
  • Add the water until it has the consistency of sticky dough then knead for a few mins
  • Let the dough rest in greased bowl for about an hour
  • Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each one out thinly on a floured surface
  • Cook flatbreads on a medium hot pan with oil until both sides are golden with brown spots
Medium hot pan required only.
Serve with a saucy dinner such as korma, curry, soup etc.. Or with a hummus, tzatziki or similar dip.
These are an easier, quicker substitute for naan bread.
