Native American Navajo Flatbread
Bread
Ingredients
2 Cups Plain Flour
1 Cup Water (warm)
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1tsp Salt
1tbsp Oil
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients together
Add the water until it has the consistency of sticky dough then knead for a few mins
Let the dough rest in greased bowl for about an hour
Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each one out thinly on a floured surface
Cook flatbreads on a medium hot pan with oil until both sides are golden with brown spots
Cooking
Medium hot pan required only.
Serving
Serve with a saucy dinner such as korma, curry, soup etc.. Or with a hummus, tzatziki or similar dip.
Notes
These are an easier, quicker substitute for naan bread.
